The SMVEC – Centre of Legal Education Programme aims to provide students with a comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education. The program will promote legal and ethical values, and uphold the rule of law and the Constitution of India. Students will be trained to be transforming agents who can contribute to the social and developmental goals of the country. They will also be equipped to address the challenges of the new millennium.

Dean Message
SMVEC – Centre of Legal Education got the approval from the Bar Council of India in 2022. The institution offers Five Years Degree Programme (B.A.LL.B) and Three Years Degree Programme (LL.B) from this academic year 2022-23. The courses offered are fully in compliance with the Regulations of the Bar Council of India. The curriculum and syllabi of this institution are on par with top ranking law schools of India. The Library of this institution has good number of collections of law and allied social science subjects besides law journals. The environment of this institution is student friendly and conducive for learning.

The centre of legal education is one of the wings of SMVEC Puducherry. It offers two programmes at present. One is B.A.LL.B five years and the other one is the LL.B. three years degree programme. Each class consists of 60 students. It is affiliated to the Pondicherry university.
Students enjoy world class academic infrastructure, as well as professional level sports facilities.The course curriculum is designed perfectly in par with national standards. The college also provides the internship felicities for the students as a part of curriculum.
The faculty members are well experienced and are almost with Ph.d Qualification. They train the students to learn theoretically as well as practically to enrich their knowledge.We have hostels with good infrastructure and all necessary facilities. The food is too delicious. Well stocked library. Moot court hall with full court setup. Full furnished class rooms etc.
