College Facilities
SMVEC-Centre of Legal Education provides a variety of facilities for its students. These include a moot court hall, legal aid centre, fully furnished classrooms, separate hostels for boys and girls, a library with over 2000 books and journals, sports facilities for tennis, badminton, basketball, a gym, canteens and food courts, a 24-hour cafe for hostellers, an auditorium, conference hall, medical facilities, free WiFi, transport, and solar panels that provide power throughout the day and night.
Library
The library of the Centre of Legal Education is located on the second floor of the college block. It has a seating capacity of 100 users and has a stack room, reading room, and digital library room.
The library has a collection of over 2000 books and six current subscriptions of law journals. Students can access the library’s collection through the open access system.
The library also has online facilities for referring to online journals. It acquires catalogs, preserves, and maintains both contemporary and historical legal materials.

Transport
The Centre of Legal Education offers a reliable transport facility to students from all over Puducherry, Kanagachettikulam, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Neyveli, and Tindivanam. More than 80% of the students avail of this facility because of its efficiency.
Post Office
SMVEC has a post office located on its campus. This post office provides all postal services to the students, staff, and faculty of the college, as well as to the local community. The post office offers the following services:
- Selling stamps and envelopes
- Sending registered/speed post/parcel
- Other administrative duties related to postal communication
The post office is a convenient service for the SMVEC community. It allows students to send mail and packages without having to go to a post office outside of the campus. It also provides a valuable service to the local community by providing postal services to people who may not have easy access to a post office.
Canteen
The college is equipped with a fully functional vegetarian and non-vegetarian canteen to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. Read More..
Hostel
The hostel at SMVEC is modern and well-equipped. It has separate hostels for boys and girls, with all the facilities that students need to live comfortably and study well. The hostel has 24×7 power and Wi-Fi, reading halls and recreation rooms, canteens, and spacious dining halls. The kitchen is fitted with ultra-modern equipment.
Each hostel has a warden who is responsible for the discipline and hygiene of the hostel. The warden is like a friend, philosopher, and guide to the hostel inmates.
